The Hawker Siddeley SP.107 is a short take-off or vertical landing project capable of speeds up to Mach 3.5. The 23m long aircraft was to be fitted with a Bristol Sidley BS.100 engine with an additional nozzle and afterburner for fast flight. Its unusual power plant included a mechanism that at low speeds directed the flow of gas from the engine gas generator to rotary nozzles. In this case, the airflow from the front fan entered the air chamber equipped with a fuel combustion system.
