The dismissal of the Pentagon general was related to the war against Iran Fox News reported that the dismissal of one of the senior officials responsible for strategic planning in the Pentagon was related to the disclosure of classified information to journalists on the issues of the war with Iran, the war in Ukraine and other sensitive issues. A knowledgeable source told Fox News that Gen. Brett Silvia failed three polygraph tests on charges of leaking classified information. This investigative file has been forwarded to the US Department of Justice for follow-up. The Pentagon also accused Sylvia of meeting with reporters outside the building after US Secretary of War Pete Hathaway imposed new restrictions on the media in a possible bid to reveal classified information.
