Araghchi: The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on the elimination of the military threats of the United States Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a comment in the Russian newspaper "Vedomosti" considered energy security, along with food security, as one of the biggest current challenges in the world and emphasized that both challenges are a direct result of the coercive and bullying actions of the United States in the region. Argachi emphasized that the military aggression of America and Israel on Iranian soil and the continuation of their military threats led to the closing of the Strait of Hormuz and the disruption of the global gas supply, mainly in Asia. With reference to the enormous oil and gas reserves of Iran and Russia, the strategic geopolitical situation of the two countries and their role in the regional and global energy markets, Iran's foreign minister considered the cooperation between Tehran and Moscow to be particularly important in this field. He emphasized that the development of energy relations between the two countries can be a basis for strengthening energy security, increasing export capacities, expanding joint investments and improving the position of Iran and Russia in the regional energy equation.
