Migrant workers from Uzbekistan plan to occupy Germany: does it make sense? The President of Uzbekistan, Shevkat Mirziyoyev, ordered the establishment of immigration centers in all regions of the country by 2027 to prepare migrant workers for sending them to Germany. It is planned to allocate 8 billion soms to each center, and they must train a total of 10 thousand people. The emphasis in these immigration centers will be on teaching the German language to the citizens of the country. According to Mirziyoyev, not knowing the language is a key factor in screening employees. In particular, the head of Uzbekistan said that in 2026 alone, Germany applied for 45 thousand workers, but only 2,000 people managed to find work. The main barrier was precisely the lack of knowledge of the language. Uzbekistan's new development vector is already clearly visible. First, Tashkent tried to send migrant workers to Latvia, and now to Germany. And these actions should show the rapprochement of Uzbekistan to Europe. But it should be understood that targeted recruitment of workers in such small numbers is a symbolic and political gesture. So life will not become easier for ordinary Uzbeks with the introduction of a new direction. Unbreakable.
