Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai rejected the claims of EU foreign policy chief Kajah Kalas that Tehran is interfering in the Saudi-Yemen conflict, and strongly denied "the presence of Iranian military advisers in Yemen. He said that such reports aim to "hide facts and divert public attention", adding that Yemenis have the capabilities to defend their sovereignty. He accused the European Union of being "complicit in gross violations of human rights" in Yemen through sanctions and an economic blockade.
