Restrictions on women halted aid delivery in Afghanistan The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that restrictions on women workers and interference in aid activities have hampered access to humanitarian aid in Afghanistan. According to the report of this organization, in September there were 30 cases of interference with humanitarian access, which was a 27% decrease compared to August. Ocha warned that this reduction does not necessarily mean an improvement in the situation. This organization declared interference in aid activities, military conflicts, violence against workers and detention of aid workers as obstacles to the delivery of aid and added that four Afghan cities face severe restrictions on humanitarian access.
