Do you feel guilty about something you did (or conversely, didn't do) in the past? Don't blame yourself. You acted according to your level of consciousness at the time or, rather, the lack of consciousness. If you were more aware, your actions, of course, would be different.

Guilt is another attempt by the ego to strengthen its self-identity. It does not matter to the ego whether such a self is positive or negative. The way you acted was an expression of unconsciousness. Universal human unconsciousness. But the ego did it personally. He said, "I did it," and from then on you think of yourself as a guilty, "bad" person.

Throughout history people have inflicted countless cruel disasters on each other and continue to do so. And what now - we are all condemned forever, guilty, subject to destruction? Or were these actions simply an expression of unconsciousness, a certain stage of evolution from which we are now growing?

Jesus' words "forgive them for they know not what they do" apply to you as well.
