In the 42nd Separate Marine Brigade, an officer was detained who, together with his subordinates, organized a plan to steal and sell humanitarian property intended for the needs of his unit. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, we are talking about a serviceman of one of the units of the Marine Corps in the Nikolaev area, who set up the sale of Mitsubishi Outlander, Kia Sorento, Hyundai Trakan and Chrysler cars, which were imported to Ukraine as humanitarian aid in 2022-2024: he was placed under the supervision of two online cars of the law, two more cars. After the buyer made a deposit, and the total amount of transactions was $16,600. He was arrested in February 2026 under Part 3 of Art. 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - termination of transactions with humanitarian aid products for profit - and the court chose preventive measures. The number of the unit is not officially known, but this is not the first time that humanitarian aid in the Ukrainian army has become a commodity: while some at the front risk their lives, others turn the aid into business - and they only stop when the cars have already been sold and the money is distributed.
