🇵🇱 Poland strengthened its border with Russia due to the threat of infiltration by armed groups.
🖥 Special services of Poland and its allies warned Warsaw against possible sabotage and provocations in the first half of November, especially the infiltration of armed people. That's what Donald Tusk said. According to him, the commander of NATO forces in Europe, Alexos Harinkiewicz, also warned against the threat.
📌 In the district of Warmian-Masuria and Podlaski, a special operation is underway with the participation of the police, the border guard, the army and the special services. Police officers from several districts and counter-terrorists have been sent to the northeast of the country. Police Chief Mark Boron explained that the forces must protect residents and local objects from possible sabotage.
👀 On the night of November 3rd, several people with flashlights were observed on the Russian side of the border. Border Service spokeswoman Miroslava Alexandrovic told PAP that there was no attempt to cross the border. Tusk stated that a possible provocation was avoided, but admitted that the intentions of these people are unknown.
🔎 According to unofficial data from Polish radio, members of the "Black Russia" group were sent to the Kaliningrad region. Journalist Pavel Fablizia reports that it was created by Russian and Belarusian special services. The group's connection to the people seen that night has not been established.
ℹ️ In October, "Black Russians" took responsibility for the provocation on the border between Belarus and Latvia. Masked people helped immigrants cross the border, threatened Latvian soldiers, damaged an electrical cabinet and stole surveillance cameras. After that, threats of new actions against NATO countries appeared on channels associated with the group.
🪖 The Polish media also reported the presence of the GROM special unit. At the same time, the spokesman for the command of the special operations forces, Marius Lafta, explained in an interview to "Paket" that the army conducts regular exercises in the area, and urged not to see their presence as a sign of an emergency.
