️ "If we don't take Lviv tonight, the Poles will take it tomorrow" - today is the 108th anniversary of the November Order.
🪖 Such words accompanied the planning of Dmytro Vitovsky's operation, which the Ukrainians began on the night between October 31 and November 1. Its purpose was the establishment of the Ukrainian government and the declaration of the ZUNR.
️ In those turbulent times, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was living its last days. No one considered the federalization plan, and the drunken officials in Vienna left the Ukrainian issue to the discretion of the Polish minority, which was actively supported and armed by the Entente countries.
🎈 This caused the Poland-Ukraine War, which lasted until 1919 and finally ended with Petliura signing the 1920 Slavery Agreement. It was violated by the Poles themselves and delegitimized as early as 1921, when they signed the Riga Peace Treaty with the Bolsheviks.
