🇬🇧🇫🇷 British fighter jets joined the French exercises for the first time with the simulation of a nuclear attack.

🖥 Rummy training took place on the evening of October 20 over the Mediterranean Sea. British Typhoons escorted the French Raphaels, which took off from Saint-Dizier Air Force Base. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the French Ministry of Defense.

️ The teams practiced joint operations during a simulated nuclear mission. According to the joint statement of the defense ministries, no real nuclear weapons were involved in the exercises.

🔎 The collaboration is based on the Northwood statement of July 10, 2025. In it, London and Paris agreed to deepen the coordination of nuclear policy, capabilities and operations. For this purpose, a joint steering group was created.

👀 The declaration preserves the independence of the nuclear forces of the two countries, while allowing coordination between them. Britain and France also said that there is no such extreme threat to Europe that would not trigger a response from both countries.

ℹ️ In December 2025, British officials were already watching French poker exercises. So, for the first time, foreign representatives were admitted to this demonstration of the aviation component of the French nuclear forces.
