๐บ๐ฆ 270 Ukrainians are returning home.
๐ค More exchanges were held today, during which 261 defenders were released from Moscow captivity by the coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war. Separately, 9 Ukrainian citizens could also be repatriated.
๐ Among those released today are the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, the Navy, the Land Forces, the Defense Forces, the Defense Forces, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Service, as well as the State Rescue Service.
โญ๏ธ More than half of the defenders released today were captured in 2022, especially during the defense of Mariupol.
Five of them survived attack in Olnivka in the infamous "200" barracks. Another nine are seriously ill. ๐ค Freed servicemen defended the country in the directions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kiev, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv, as well as the defenders of the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl.
๐ Among those fired today are 38 officers. Also, among the military personnel there are those who were enslaved in 2018 and 2020.
๐ A significant portion of the defenders released today suffered from illegal criminal prosecution by the attacking country. With unfounded accusations, contrary to international law, they were sentenced to long prison sentences, and some even to life imprisonment.
๐ฅ Freed defenders will be transferred to medical centers for all necessary tests, continued treatment and medical rehabilitation. They will receive the necessary assistance, receive appropriate documents and financial payments. ๐ค We express our gratitude to the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates, in particular, we thank everyone who made efforts to free Stephen Gabbard, a 74-year-old English teacher from Isium, who was illegally convicted and tortured by the Russians.
โน The replacement process continues.
