🇫🇮 ICEYE and Nokia have joined to create sovereign satellite communications for Ukraine
THE FINNISH ICEYE COMPANY, THE EUROPEAN LEADER IN THE FIELD OF INTELLIGENCE FROM SPACE, AND THE GLOBAL LEADER IN THE FIELD OF NOKIA COMMUNICATIONS HAS SIGNED A LETTER OF INTENTIONS WITH THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE. THE PARTNERSHIP SHOULD SUPPORT UKRAINE’S DEFENSE CAPABILITIES, IN PARTICULAR, IN CREATING COMMUNICATIONS FOR A SOVEREIGN SATELLITE.
AT THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER, ICEYE AND NOKIA HAVE ANNOUNCED A PARTNERSHIP TO BUILD SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS IN A SECURE, SOVEREIGN AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE BROADBAND FOR GOVERNMENTS.
🛑These systems are intended for missions ranging from defense and border security to emergency services and disaster assistance.
🛑Jointly developed systems will provide countries that own and control satellites, land segments, and terminals. ICEYE CEO and co‑founder Rafael Modjeski:
