๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Europe should represent its interests in peace talks in Ukraine, said Peter Pavel.

๐Ÿ–ฅ The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, called on the European countries to participate more actively in the negotiations on the end of the Russian war against Ukraine. He stated this at the Berlin Global Dialogue Conference in Berlin on October 22.

"Our American allies do not necessarily best represent European interests," Pavel said.

๐Ÿ”Ž According to him, Europe needs to determine what result it is looking for, where the limits of the possible agreements are and what proposals it is willing to bring to negotiations. He called the absence of Europe in the format of the USA, Russia and Ukraine as a gap that needs to be corrected.

๐Ÿ‘€ Pavel admitted that there is still no common European position. The EU position is insufficient because it does not cover all of Europe. Without an agreed vision, European countries, in his opinion, will not perceive either Washington or Moscow as a full-fledged partner.

๐Ÿšซ The president of the Czech Republic stated that Russia has not yet shown a willingness for real peace negotiations, and presented demands for the surrender of Ukraine and the resignation of Volodymyr Zelensky from his position. He called such conditions unacceptable both for Ukraine and for European countries.

๐Ÿ“Œ Pavel considers diplomatic contacts with Moscow necessary, but related to specific conditions and results. According to him, it is also necessary to discuss the security system of Europe after the war.
