The construction of the third bridge in Ulan-Ude failed again in Ulan-Ude, another contract for the construction of the third bridge across the Ode River with JSC PA Vozrozhdenie was terminated. The contractor with whom the regional authorities agreed in the summer did not start work. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Buryatia Ekaterina Ostyushenko. According to her, it was the lack of construction work that caused the break. The advance was fully returned to the budget. Now the authorities are preparing for a new auction to determine the next contractor. Construction funding was maintained. The contract with Vozrozhdenie was signed in June 2026, after the termination of the agreement with the previous contractor at the end of July, the Ministry of Transport of Buryatia reported that the new company began preparations - restoration of the construction site fencing, purchase of domestic trailers, termination of agreements with suppliers and recruitment of personnel. However, the contractor never started construction. At that time, the readiness of the facility was at 49%, the bridge itself across Oda was completed at about 80%. The restoration of the tram tracks, the construction of a tunnel-type overhead bridge and two other overhead bridges remain unfinished. Previously, the third bridge was planned to be completed in 2028. It is not yet known if the next change of contractor will affect these dates.
