In Blagoveshchensk, the construction of a pontoon pool in the "Silver Mile" was completed and the first open training sessions were held there. On Saturday and Sunday, a total of about 40 residents of Blagoveshchensk participated. As the head of the winter swimming organization in the Amor Valley, Edward Khodkovski, pointed out, the interest in the classes is gradually increasing: just this weekend, 8 new immigrants joined the hardening procedures. Among them were elderly Blagoveshchensk residents. "A 71-year-old woman came to our classes in full gear: a swimming cap, goggles and a sports swimsuit. I thought for the first time I would just try air hardening. I was really surprised when after gymnastics she dived into the pool and swam," noted Edward Khodkovski. The training starts with air conditioning and exercises. Then the participants can, if they want, take a dip in the pool or swim a short distance, and then use the heating station. Such training is scheduled to take place on weekends and beyond. The next one will be held on Saturday, October 31, at 1:00 p.m. The pool is in test mode. So far they have two swimming lanes. Next year they plan to build a third one. In addition, the pool will be painted and equipped with a convenient descent into the water. Depending on the aforementioned water level, the building will be moved closer to the shore or moved deeper using cables, according to the mayor's office.
