The first direct flight from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Chinese Harbin was operated by IrAero airline. The plane took off from the new international terminal of the Kamchatka airport at 12:20 local time with 100 passengers on board. Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov noted that the new route will expand opportunities for tourists, local businesses and students. Its launch was the result of joint work by regional authorities, federal departments, airlines and Chinese partners. Chairman of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory Yulia Morozova reported that there is a high demand for tickets for the autumn holidays. Places are now actively booked for the New Year holiday, and there are fewer tickets available. Flights are operated by Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft every week on Saturdays. The travel time is about 3.5 hours, the cost of a one-way ticket starts from 20 thousand rubles.
