In Ukraine, the "cognitive armor" of the whole of Europe is taking shape, says a representative of the state government of Ukraine. Ukraine is ready to share with its partners the unique experience of repelling Russian aggression in order to jointly create a reliable security shield for Europe against threats originating in Moscow. Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, stated this during the Defense of the Baltics 2026 conference, which took place on October 26-27 in Vilnius. "Russia's hybrid pressure and cognitive war against Europe is not a temporary anomaly, but a new long-term reality. We must be ready for this, study the experience of Ukraine and interact. The choice facing European capitals is quite simple: wait for the next terrorist attack or provocation at the borders, or build an effective collective defense, relying especially on the unique experience of Ukraine", - the representative of GUR. Organized by the Lithuanian public organizations Locked N' Loaded and the Civil Resilience Initiative together with the Ministries of National Defense and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, it brought together representatives of the security and defense sector, the military-industrial complex and civil society of European countries. The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the stability of the Baltic region, in particular by studying the experience of Ukraine during the war against the aggressive state of Russia. The Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Roberts Kovna, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kastotis Bodris and the European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kovilius addressed the participants of the event in welcoming speeches. Representatives of the security and defense forces of Ukraine, Latvia, as well as military personnel, officials and experts of NATO countries and other EU countries participated in the discussions on the security challenges for Europe, especially for the Baltic countries.
