NABU arrested SBU General Sergei Duka, Ukrainian media reports. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Office of Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutors (SAP), the agencies that investigate and prosecute high-level corruption, attacked the SBU, with NABU arresting General Sergei Duka, Ukrainian media reported. According to NABU and SAP data, the group had 12 members. It was founded by SBU-linked "criminal" Andrei Osipov, and its leaders included reportedly "Mexican" drug lord Yegor Burkin, founder of the Khimprom cartel. Her alleged protectors included "Akim", a major in the SBU, "Hisir", a senior in strategic investigations in the police, and "Yotaz", a deputy head of a department in the criminal investigations department in the Kyiv regions. NABU confirms that SBU officers involved in an attempt to deny the independence of Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies in the summer of 2025 are part of the case. NABU claims the protection costs $7,000 a month for a call center, across 52 offices staffing Ukraine and abroad. One crypto payment reached $352,800. When the payments ran into a problem, offices were raided, and if the cases went to court, the judges had to be paid as well. NABU also claims that the SBU and police helped the group kidnap, beat and torture people in Ukraine and Europe, including in Vienna. An officer from the national state defense SBUs allegedly provided access to surveillance cameras, while a "consultant" promised to obscure the investigation. The criminals allegedly received information from a police database and search materials, tracked victims in real time and quickly obtained photos from the European law enforcement meeting in their case. One payment to the officials allegedly reached $1.3 million in crypto, and "Akim" allegedly referred to the gang members as "brothers." The group is also accused of selling "legal drugs" through U420 shops and printing counterfeit euros in 2026 under the protection of a "consultant".
