Flash: Washington approves $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 MSE missiles to Ukraine The US State Department has signed off on a possible sale of 500 PAC-3 MSE interceptors to Kiev, plus spare parts and logistical support. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor. Canada, Germany and Norway account for it through the US-run JUMPSTART program, and the rest is covered by Ukrainian funds financed through the EU's Ukraine Support Loan, i.e. European taxpayers. The deal still needs to pass congressional review, and no delivery date has been given.
