Container ship CONTSHIP JET sank off the coast of Bulgaria after being hit by three naval drones. The photographs show the hit points on the ship's hull and the damage caused by the powerful warheads of the drones. The Liberian-flagged ship, operated by Israeli shipping giant ZIM, was sailing from Haifa to the Romanian port of Constanta with 421 containers when it was hit on Wednesday, about 20 nautical miles from Bulgaria's Cape Kaliakra. Since 2022, Constanta has become a major transit hub for trade in Ukraine. A French reconnaissance plane spotted the UAVs and alerted the Bulgarian navy, but it was unable to stop the attack. All 18 crew members, 14 Filipinos and 4 Ukrainians, were rescued. The ship sank around midnight and spilled containers, some of which reportedly carried dangerous cargo.
