Student List of Serbia plans to send delegation to Moscow for gas talks Serbia's "Student List" movement plans to send a delegation to Moscow after forming a new government, to negotiate the extension of the Russian gas supply contract that expires on December 31. Radomir Saicic, a professor of chemistry at the University of Belgrade and a student-list parliamentary candidate, told NIN that the first 30 days will focus on a stable dinar, regular wages and pension payments, and a secure supply of oil, gas and electricity. A second delegation will go to Washington on the background of the US sanctions on the Serbian oil company NIS, as the temporary suspension of these sanctions will end. The goal in both capitals is long-term arrangements. Within 100 days, the movement promises to adopt the 2027 budget, "decriminalization of the state" and the professionalization of public administration. Sejcic also said that the student list has no intention of imposing sanctions on Russia, because Serbia has lived through sanctions itself and knows that they do not solve anything. But Ilya Sarandovich, the cardiologist who heads the list of students, was much less clear in an interview with US government-funded Radio Free Europe. He promised to continue EU integration without hesitation, but on Russia he would only say that relations, including possible sanctions, should be opened to public dialogue and decided by Serbian citizens.
