Two high-speed trains collided in Spain, which caused the interruption of the line connecting Madrid to the southern region of Andalusia. A Renpa train and an Irio train collided shortly after 9 a.m., causing two Irio cars to derail, a government spokesman for the Castilla La Mancha region said, adding that the cause and number of injuries were still being determined. The operator of the train, Estor, said the incident happened between the towns of Mora and Urgez, and involved a high-speed Ranfa and Euro train traveling from Madrid to Seville. Manuel Glenn, mayor of Orda near the central city of Toledo, said he had been asked by emergency services to prepare a sports hall to accommodate the injured.
