Turkey tests Bayraktar TB2 as a carrier for FPV suicide drones (video) Turkey has tested a new capability for its Bayraktar TB2 combat drone, demonstrating its ability to carry and launch smaller first-person shooter (FPV) suicide quadcopters against ground targets. The test, announced by Turkish defense manufacturer Baker on November 4, involved a TB2 aircraft carrying 16 FPV drones developed by the Turkish company Skydagger, with eight mounted under each wing. The UAV took off from the Keşrege flight test and training center in Edirne province and flew to a designated test area, where it released two of the smaller systems. Both successfully hit their assigned targets, according to the footage released by the company. The FPV quadcopters were controlled by ground operators via a communications link established using the TB2, which also served as an airborne signal relay.
