Recently released investigative documents have added disturbing details to the death of Pennsylvania pediatrician Dr. Julia Pederson.
⠀.
Her husband, Jonathan Gatto, was arrested on October 14 and charged with murder, arson and other offenses.
⠀.
Police responded to a fire at the couple's home in Harrisburg on Oct. 10.
⠀.
Investigators later determined that Pederson's death was not caused by the fire.
⠀.
According to a search warrant application, relatives and acquaintances told investigators that Pederson complained of dizziness and feeling drugged after consuming drinks prepared for her at home.
⠀.
She reportedly planned to have blood tests to investigate these symptoms.
⠀.
Prosecutors say Gatto killed his wife and then set the fire to cover up the crime.
⠀ The defense was not tested at trial, and Gatto was considered innocent.
⠀.
What makes this case particularly significant is the timeline: concerns expressed before death, a fatal fire, and forensic findings that led investigators to treat the scene as a homicide.
