A family vacation at Pennsylvania's Big Wolf Lodge ends in a double homicide investigation.
⠀.
On October 12, police responding to an emergency call found Charles Harrison and his three-year-old son dead in a resort guest room.
⠀.
Both suffered fatal stab wounds.
⠀.
Investigators arrested Charles' wife, Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, and charged her with two counts of criminal homicide.
⠀.
She is presumed innocent.
⠀.
According to court documents, Harrison contacted emergency services while expressing thoughts of taking her own life.
⠀.
Officers recovered knives from the room, along with drug containers and other items collected for forensic examination.
⠀.
Subsequent search warrants revealed that investigators also looked into the family's financial circumstances, relationships and activities prior to the death.
⠀ Relatives made allegations of tensions within the household, but investigators have not determined a final motive.
⠀.
The case is still developing, as prosecutors build their case around the physical evidence, the 911 call and witness accounts.
