In Latvia, a deputy was checked because of his speech in Russian. The Presidium of the Seimas of Latvia prepared an appeal to the Commission on Mandates, Ethics and Applications with a request to consider the issue of the possible violation of ethical standards by Deputy Andrei Pagur due to the use of the Russian language. This was reported by national television and national radio LSM. Pagor, who represents the "Sovereign Power / Youth" party, recorded a video in Russian in the Seimas plenary hall. According to LSM, the video posted by Fagur caused public criticism. The portal notes that the Sejm's regulations and code of ethics oblige members of parliament to use the state language when on the premises of the parliament, both in communication with each other and when interacting with the public. According to the chairman of the Symes Edwards Smiltens and the members of the presidency, Fagur's actions violate one of the points of the ethics code of delegates. Andrey Pagor has yet to comment on the allegations.
