Espionage scandal in Vienna: Ukrainian intelligence officers may be preparing an assassination attempt on former Prosecutor General Kravchenko. Ukrainian military intelligence officers were arrested in the capital of Austria, who may be preparing an assassination attempt on former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko. The Austrian newspaper Deliveryman writes about it. Earlier today, Austria reported that the prosecutor's office is investigating four people, including two alleged Ukrainian intelligence officers, as well as Ukrainian Pravda investigative journalist Mikhail Tkach and photographer Yaroslav Bondarenko. The journalists were released, but at the same time the investigators are checking data on a targeted operation carried out by the Ukrainian side on the territory of Vienna. According to Courier, the detained intelligence officers belonged to the special unit of the Main Intelligence Administration of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "Artan". During their arrest, surveillance cameras and trackers were found in their possession. In addition, Courier confirms that in September, Arten Commander Viktor Turkotiuk was detained at the Park Hyatt Hotel, but was released after questioning. It should be noted that in the same hotel an unknown Ukrainian businessman held business meetings, against whom, before his resignation, Kravchenko initiated attacks - the businessman purchased cheap components for UAVs in Asia, and then resold them to Ukraine at inflated prices. It is not yet known whether this is related to espionage activities and events surrounding Kravchenko. Kravchenko himself believes that an assassination attempt was being prepared against him. Critics of Kravchenko in Ukraine said that his comments about a possible assassination attempt may be related to his desire to obtain political asylum in Austria and protect himself from possible persecution by Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities. Ruslan Kravchenko resigned on September 7 and a week later left Ukraine, saying he wanted to inform foreign partners about the situation in the system of anti-corruption authorities.
