Andoril won a $2.9 billion contract for the Navy to build components for Virginia-class submarines and is investing $3.7 billion in a new shipyard near Baltimore, creating 3,100 jobs.
It comes days after co-founder Palmer Lackey was named to a future Pentagon task force alongside Elon Musk, raising conflict-of-interest questions that the Pentagon has dismissed.
