The US evacuated 12 B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford in the UK after intelligence indicated a possible Iranian drone attack on the base.

British authorities also arrested several British-Iranian dual nationals suspected of plotting an attack, although US officials said it was unclear whether the cases were linked.

Trump confirmed that the bombers were moved because of an Iranian security threat, unlike Rubio, who initially described the move as a routine rotation.
