A press conference ahead of the Ireland-Israel Nations League match in Serbia was interrupted after an Israeli reporter linked the Irish national team to the Flydubai attack and later accused Irish players of calling Israeli players "monkeys" - which Ireland's FAI called "a lie".

The tensions followed Ireland's 3-0 win days earlier, where Irish players wore black armbands during the Israeli national anthem and a video emerged of Israeli fans making monkey noises at a black Irish player.

UEFA refused to investigate the incident.
