Andy Burnham:

Brexit did not give us control.

We have lost some of the control we had over our economy, as a decade of low growth has put us in a weaker position. And we lost some of our control over immigration.

At its most basic level, it's an argument about fairness, so I understand the anger at what's happening on the channel.
