Pope Leo XIV:

Human dignity requires legal and safe rescue and assistance, real cooperation against traffickers, effective protection of victims, serious absorption and integration processes and a policy that allows every person to live with dignity in his country.

But all this still will not be enough. To welcome a person means to integrate him as in his family, to offer him the possibility to develop his talents, abilities and sensitivities, but also to enter into the spirit of the house.

The universality of Europe's fundamental values assures us that this dialogue is possible and can provide a solid foundation for our societies, allowing us to work more effectively for peace and for a world of reconciliation.
