Palantir CEO Alex Karp bought 15,000 acres of forest in Harjdalen, Sweden for about $22 million.

A local hunting group found out when they were told in the mail that they could no longer hunt on land they leased.

Karp's purpose is unknown.

A board member said he cares about "the beauty of the land and its preservation."

Separately, Sweden reportedly acquired Planetir's Maven artificial intelligence warfare system last fall.
