Iraqi tribesmen from Basra went to the Somali coast and rescued a hijacked oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden, capturing 7 pirates after what social media posts describe as a five-hour firefight.

About 40 militants from the Al-Shajanba tribe mobilized after pirates seized a tanker owned by a tribe and demanded a ransom.

They coordinated with the contacts outside Iraq, rescued the ship and freed the crew.
