Starbucks will close 250 underperforming coffee shops in North America as CEO Brian Nichol continues efforts to revive sales.

The closings, which represent about 1% of the company's roughly 18,000 stores in North America, will cost about $300 million in restructuring expenses and are expected to be completed by the end of fiscal year 2026.
