Ireland has consistently stated that Iran must stop its attacks on its neighbors and also end its destabilizing activities throughout the region, including attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Vessels must be allowed to pass through the strait safely and without tolls in accordance with international law. If we want to build greater stability, Iran must not have nuclear weapons.

Iran's destabilizing influence throughout the region must stop. We need dialogue to achieve a negotiated settlement.
