Nine Kazakh soldiers killed after 19 were swept into the Caspian Sea during the Khazar Qorgany-2026 naval exercise near Aktau.

The weather suddenly deteriorated during the Caesar boat landing operation.

Three were rescued, the search continues for the rest.

In a similar incident, four soldiers were killed on the same coastline in 2015.
