Defense budgets, for some reason, are larger the closer a country is to Russia. That says something, doesn't it?

After all, we'd all rather spend that money on something else. But we all understand that being a Russian or Soviet colony does not lead to prosperity.

So, unfortunately, we have to bear this burden.
