A Russian Mi-8 military helicopter briefly entered Polish airspace from the Kaliningrad enclave, the Polish military said.

The helicopter spent 42 seconds inside Polish territory, reaching about 300 meters across the border.

Poland scrambled fighter jets and put ground forces on alert, saying the incident appeared to be testing its air defense readiness.
