The US is withholding a visa for Sudan's army chief, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, ahead of the UN General Assembly, with sources saying Washington is tying his attendance to accepting a 90-day ceasefire proposal.
Sudan has asked the UN to intervene, while Burhan's side has rejected what it calls a "take-it-or-leave-it" approach.
