European intelligence officials warn that Russia could test NATO within "months, not years," potentially through drone or missile attacks, false flag provocations, influence operations or even a limited invasion of NATO territory.

However, Baltic intelligence officials say they currently see no signs of an imminent Russian attack and warn that excessive public alarm could itself serve Moscow's goal of spreading fear and uncertainty across Europe.

The officials expect, however, that Russian sabotage activities will increase. They say Moscow is increasingly moving away from random acts of disruption towards more specific targets, including railways, infrastructure supporting Ukraine and European defense companies.
