Obama on AI:

Currently, partners in law firms rely on a bunch of junior partners. They charge a lot of money for the time of those junior associates.

There is a pyramid. The promise to the insiders is that they move up, and at some point they will be at the top of the pyramid and they can make some bank.

If you're investing in artificial intelligence in a law firm—and they're quite expensive—the reason you're making that investment is because it will allow you to do things without those partners.

And that's in a pretty skilled and trained job. Therefore, the economic disruptions that will come so quickly, I think, will also be profound.
