Pakistan has relaunched austerity measures to save fuel amid renewed tensions in the Middle East.

Markets, shops and malls must close by 21:00, while restaurants can operate until 23:00.

The government will cut fuel allowances for official vehicles by 50% for three months, reduce non-wage spending by 5%, suspend purchases of vehicles and durable goods, and limit official travel abroad.
