Germany has received its first F-35A fighter jet from US manufacturer Lockheed Martin as part of Berlin's major military modernization push.

Germany has received its first F-35A fighter jet from US manufacturer Lockheed Martin as part of Berlin's major military modernization push.

Defense Minister Boris Pistorius praised the plane and said that it is the only plane capable of carrying nuclear weapons owned by the United States within the framework of the NATO nuclear sharing arrangement.
