In 2019, I said "America deserves 9/11". I apologized shortly after, I think it was the day after, for the language I used, the wording I used.

I don't think it was appropriate because of, of course, the heinous crime that took place. 3,000 Americans died.

I don't think this is acceptable in any way, shape or form. I am not in favor of terrorism. And that's exactly why I apologized.

Not that I expect anyone to show kindness at that moment to say, "Oh, well, you apologized, and that's fine." Of course, this is politics.

People will continue to disingenuously push whatever they find useful.
