The American trajectory is turning downward, and on the other hand, China is rapidly improving its material conditions for a broad base of Chinese society.

I think, in terms of trajectory, I'm afraid that a Chinese child will have better conditions in the next decade or two decades than an American child.

And I think that should concern every American citizen, not concern them from a xenophobic standpoint, mind you, but it should be a concern that we recognize and seek to address.
