The fighting in Yemen outside the mountains is subject to rapid changes.
They don't really have a fortified position there and are probably straining to hold what they have captured. So they might get pushed out pretty quickly.
Saudi Arabia sees it as an existential threat.
I think the Saudis are probably planning some sort of action pretty soon to ensure this doesn't become normal.
I don't think Saudi Arabia can just sit back and watch the Houthis continue to attack their lifeline.
