British intelligence says Iranian state hackers attacked opponents, activists, and journalists worldwide using spyware called "CHOSEN BRICK".

According to the allegation, the hackers posed as trusted contacts and used forged documents to lure victims into installing malicious software capable of stealing messages and contacts, capturing screens, tracking movements, and accessing microphones.

British, U.S., and Dutch agencies linked the campaign to Iran's intelligence and security ministry, stating Tehran uses cyber operations to gather intelligence, leak data, and damage rivals' reputations.
