German Chancellor Merz said that Muslim immigrants who refuse to recognize Germany's historical responsibility for the Holocaust must leave the country.
In a speech at a reception for Jewish athletes in Berlin, Merez said:
This historical responsibility of our country applies equally to those who come here to Germany from Islamic countries.
And anyone who fails to meet this must leave our country.
